Warehouse Manager
Job Overview & Qualifications

The position is salaried with health, dental, paid vacation, 401k match and a sign-on bonus. Hours are generally Monday through Friday, 6:30AM-3:00PM. A well-suited candidate has the following qualities:

• 1+ years experience in a management position
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Experience in managing people, coordinating with co-workers and multi-tasking
• Experience with power and hand tools of various sorts
• Experience in shipping and receiving
• MA Operator’s License
Position Overview & Responsibilities​
​
Universal Electric is looking for a Warehouse Manager to bring a positive outlook, strong work ethic and desire for continual self-improvement to facilitate continued growth of the company. The qualified candidate will be capable of stepping in and overseeing all aspects of warehouse processes. This includes, but is not limited to the following:

Tool Management
• Install and maintain tool inventory/numbering system for all existing and new tools
• Complete warranty processes for all new tools
• Verify completeness and proper operability of all tools prior to deploying to jobsites
• Track in real-time the location of all company owned tool assets
• Verify all tools return from jobsites in proper working order
• Get tools serviced as needed
• Get test and safety equipment calibrated on a regular schedule as needed
• Keep records of all of the above
Shipping and receiving
• Be sure the Warehouse is manned during all working hours
• Schedule incoming shipments
• Check in all deliveries – verify for completeness, inspect for damage and document accordingly
• Organize and label all shipments and notify all appropriate people of deliveries
• Schedule jobsite deliveries
• Arrange returns as necessary – verify any corresponding credits are processed
Materials Ordering
• Field tool and material needs from jobsite foreman
• Pick what is available from Warehouse and cost code accordingly
• Obtain and compare quotes for large orders
• Ensure materials are delivered in a timely manner
• Write PO’s for all orders
Vehicle and Grounds Maintenance
• Maintain logs of company fleet maintenance – schedule for service as needed
• Maintain property appearances – lawn, gardens, etc.
• Snow clearing in winter – completed before staff arrives – this requires early start on bad weather days
• Schedule and coordinate property maintenance as required
Miscellaneous
• Have each day’s jobs prepared/loaded by 6:45
• Oversee warehouse subordinate staff as they assist in all of the above
• Willingness to take on company improvement initiatives in addition to warehouse management responsibilities
