Job Overview & Qualifications

The position is salaried with health, dental, paid vacation, and 401k match. Hours are generally Monday through Friday, 7:00A-4:00P, however work outside these hours during times of heavy workload should be anticipated. Start and end times are flexible. The position can require a blend work in-office and on-site depending on the nature of overseen projects. A well-suited candidate has the following qualities:

• 3+ years experience in managing projects in various market segments is required. However, an experienced Foreman looking to transition into an inside management position that has the necessary soft skills and technology skills would be considered.
• Management experience in additional aspects of the industry (i.e. medium voltage, highway/traffic signaling, technology, etc.) is a plus.
• Proficiency in ConEst Intellibid and Surecount is a plus. However, we are willing to send the right candidate to the necessary training.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Sharepoint platform is a plus
• Experience in managing people, dealing with clients and multi-tasking is required

Universal Electric is looking for a Project Manager to bring a positive outlook, strong work ethic and desire for continual self-improvement to facilitate continued growth of the company. The qualified candidate will be capable of stepping in and contributing to all aspects of the project management process. This includes, but is not limited to the following:
​
• Seeking new opportunities with both an established client base and potential new clients
• Maintaining relationships with long time clients and building new ones with prospective clients
• Completing detailed documents reviews, takeoff, soliciting quotes, etc. for change orders and in contributing to Estimating when necessary
• Analyze project documents to identify scope and relay this information to others
• Compiling project budgets and forecasts
• Effectively communicating deficiencies, status updates, etc. with management
• Managing purchasing processes
• Managing submittals and product releases
• Managing change orders
• Managing project budgets to ensure targets are met
• Providing guidance and insight to Foremen
• Working with Foremen to ensure maximum efficiency in means and methods
• Managing project closeout
• Managing billing
