Mike Piela joined Universal Electric in 2004, bringing over two decades of experience in the electrical trade. A graduate of Roger L Putnam High School in Springfield, Mike began his career in 1982 and quickly advanced, earning his Journeyman license in 1985. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, Mike worked on a wide range of projects, achieving his Master’s license in 1998. Since 2005, Mike has been heavily involved in Healthcare projects, contributing his expertise to patient care fit-outs, surgical suite fit-outs, and complex imaging projects, including MRI, CT scan, Nuclear CT scanners, EP labs, and Cath labs. His dedication and skill led him to begin assisting the estimating team in 2019, and in 2024, Mike transitioned to the role of a full-time Estimator.

Mike resides in Ludlow, MA, with his wife Beth, to whom he has been married for 38 years. They have one son, Matthew, and share their home with two pets: a Bichon named Chance and an orange tabby named Oliver. In his free time, Mike enjoys camping with friends throughout New England and New York and attending outdoor concerts with friends and family.
