Job Overview & Qualifications

The position is salaried with health, dental, paid vacation, and 401k match. Hours are generally Monday through Friday, 7:00A-4:00P, however work outside these hours during times of heavy workload should be anticipated. Start and end times are flexible. The position can require a blend work in-office and on-site depending on the nature of overseen projects. A well-suited candidate has the following qualities:

•    Experience in the Construction industry
•    Proficiency in Bluebeam
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
•    Proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint platform
•    Proficiency with construction scheduling software
•    General ability to adapt and learn new technologies and platforms
•    Reliable transportation
•    Flexible availability to meet project demands
 
Position Overview & Responsibilities​
​
Universal Electric is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to support our team of Project Managers and facilitate the continued growth of the company. The position reports directly to Project Managers. The qualified candidate will be capable of stepping in and contributing to all aspects of the project management process. This includes, but is not limited to the following:
​
•    Maintaining relationships with established clients and building new ones with prospective clients.
•    Work with project stakeholders in creating, refining and maintaining processes, methods and procedures with a goal of department-wide consistency and optimum efficiency in all aspects of the project management process.
•    Participate in procurement processes.
•    Manage submittals and closeout processes.
•    Manage all project documentation to include scope of work documents, RFI’s, internal job-tracking documentation, etc.
•    Create and maintain project budgets and cost-code structures.
•    Outline and update project scheduling, workforce loading, long lead deliveries, etc.
•    Manage Vendor and Subcontractor partners to ensure deliverables maintain on-track status
•    Compile and manage change orders.
•    Effectively communicating expectations, deficiencies, status updates, etc. with subordinate staff, other project managers, support staff and company executives.
•    Contribute to estimating and other departments as necessary.
